Sweet Treats is a piece dedicated to an important eatery within my Cincinnati Connections series. This shows a local establishment, Sweets N' Eats, on the west side of the town where I grew up. Another friend I grew up with agreed to be the figure within this photo as we embarked on a journey down memory lane and talked over some ice cream about the many times we would walk after school with all our other friends or road bikes during the summer after gathering all the spare change we could. The bright colors and joyful tone bring a sense of nostalgia for me and the audience.
